30 Hour OSHA Construction Industry OSHA Outreach Training Program

**30-Hour Construction Industry Required Curriculum- 30-hour classes must take a minimum of four (4) calendar days. 
In accordance with OSHA Outreach Training Program Requirements, the 30 hours of instructional time are divided as follows:
 
Mandatory Topics (15 Hours)
  • Introduction to OSHA: 1 Hour (Covers OSHA’s mission, worker rights, and employer responsibilities).
  • Managing Safety and Health: 2 Hours.
  • OSHA Focus Four Hazards: 6 Hours (Falls, Electrocution, Struck-By, and Caught-In or -Between).
  • Personal Protective and Lifesaving Equipment: 2 Hours.
  • Health Hazards in Construction: 2 Hours.
  • Stairways and Ladders: 1 Hour. 
Elective Topics which you may choose : (12 Hours)
  • Must cover at least six (6) of the following topics for a minimum of 30 minutes each: Concrete/Masonry, Confined Space Entry, Cranes/Derricks, Ergonomics, Excavations, Fire Protection, Materials Handling, Motor Vehicles, Rollover Protective Structures, Scaffolds, Tools (Hand and Power), or Welding/Cutting.
Optional Topics (3 Hours)
  • Instructional time dedicated to other construction industry hazards, policies, or expanded coverage of the mandatory or elective topics. 
 

 
Important Program Disclaimers
  • Not a Certification: This training is a voluntary program. Completion of this course does not result in a "certification" and does not meet the training requirements for specific OSHA standards (such as those found in 29 CFR 1926).
  • Completion Cards: Students who successfully complete the course will receive an OSHA 30-Hour Construction Outreach course completion card issued by the U.S. Department of Labor.
  • Compliance: This course is conducted in strict accordance with the OSHA Outreach Training Program Requirements, ensuring a minimum of 30 contact hours spread over at least four (4) days.

  • Cancellation Policy: All credit card refunds are subject to a $25.00 transaction fee. MAST reserves the right to reschedule classes that do not meet minimum attendance requirements.

** A 10-minute break is required for every two (2) consecutive hours of training (including student contact hours and time spent on administrative matters or tests), and a 30-minute lunch or meal break is required for every six (6) hours of training (including student contact hours and time spent on administrative matters such as attendance or tests). Training is not allowed during lunch or meals, or during other break periods.
